MANU "VILLA CARMEN"
(PROGRAM EP31: 05 Days / 04 Nights)

Villa Carmen is located by the beginning of the Manu National Reserve, where you can to enjoy the ecological level known as Puna and the wildlife of the rainforest.

DAY 01:Trip to Villa Carmen
08:00 Meeting at the airport or hotel (Cusco) 
10:00 Depart for Manu Park, travel by road enjoying the Andean 
landscape through Huambutío, Huancarani (high plain) at 3,800 m. above sea level. Visit to the Ninamarca burial towers (if the trip is by private car) and in Paucartambo a glance of the town and bridge from colonial times. 
13:30 Lunch in Paucartambo. 
14:30 Trip to the Pass of Accanacu (Intangible zone of the National Park of 
Manu - High Plain - 3,900 above sea level) 
16:30 Ride through the high jungle enjoying the beauty of the waterfalls, and 
the cloud forest, habitat of the small cock "Gallito de las Rocas" 
20:30 Arrive at ENSUEŅO TROPICAL - VILLA CARMEN. 

DAY 2: Pilcopata and Piņi Piņi River 
07:00 Breakfast - Villa Carmen. 
08:00 Trip by boat on the Pilcopata River the source of the river Madre de Dios, return along the shores of the Piņi-Piņi river, on foot or horseback. 
11:00 Swimming in the Pilcopata River "Tres Piedras" beach. 
13:00 Lunch.
15:00 Visit of the center for the preservation and diffusion of the Amazon Cultures. 
19:00 Dinner and rest.

DAY 3: Waterfalls 
07:00 Breakfast - Villa Carmen. 
08:00 Tour to the "Swallows" waterfalls, on horseback and/or by foot. 
09:00 Navigation on the Piņi-Piņi river by canoe, visit to the fish hatchery. 
09:30 Hiking through the virgin forest, exploration of the beauty of the jungle and its extraordinary flora and fauna along the Sachavacayoc River. 
13:00 Picnic on the shores of the Lucumayo river. 
14:00 Visit to the Swallows Waterfalls (take a camera!). 
17:30 Arrival at the Native lodge of Lucumayo. 
19:00 Dinner and bonfire. 
20:00 Hunting and fishing. 

DAY 4: To be completed.

DAY 5 : Trip to Cusco. 
07:00 Breakfast - Villa Carmen. 
08:00 Return trip to Cusco. 
13:00 Lunch in Paucartambo or on route. 
20:00 Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

HEALTH ADVICE: There is an extremely low Malaria risk in the Manu area and the occasional cases of malaria in the Alto Madre de Dios zone have proved to be completely curable. Use insect repellent and effective clothing to avoid being bitten.
