ITINERARY:
Day One :
Arrival to LIMA early in the morning
( American Airlines - Continental - Delta - Lan Peru ). Same day
Connection flight to Cusco ( Aero Continente - Lan Peru -
Tans - Taca)
Reception in Cusco at the Velasco Astete
Airport, and transfer to your HOTEL.
PM City and nearby Archaeological sites
tour. We will make easy to enjoy this wonderful city where
ancient, original Inkan walls and cobblestone streets blend
with colonial Spanish architecture. We will visit the
TEMPLE OF THE SUN or Qorikancha the " enclosure
of gold "; its perfect architecture and stonework reflect
the fact that it was the most important, most sacred
temple in the entire Inka Realm, the sacred hub of the mystical Inka
Empire. Later we will also visit the CATHEDRAL with its
fabulous paintings and works of carved
wood gilded with golf flakes; as well as silver floats.
You will tour the immense stone ruins of the
SAQSAYWAMAN temple, (The cyclopean stones of this temple
fit so closely that one cannot wedge a knife between them .Also visit the
very powerful purifying baths of TAMBOMACHAY and the Temple of QENQO dedicated
to the Mother Earth and the four basic natural elements.
Day Two :
Full
day tour to the SACRED VALLEY of the Inkas visiting the
colorful PISAQ Market; you will have LUNCH in Urubamba city
(Buffet) . Afternoon tour to the ancient Inkan Town of OLLANTAYTAMBO, a terraced
fortress like town built by the Inkas and also considered a protective gateway
to Machupicchu . Ollantaytambo is one of the oldest
continuously inhabited dwellings in South America.
Day three :
Early morning transfer to the train station
for a three hour journey to the Lost City of the Inkas: MACHUPICCHU.
Upon arrival, a 25 minutes spectacular bus ride takes you to the top of the
mountain where the Inkan City is located.
It was over here where the Inkas succeeded in combining the wonders of their old
civilization with those of nature . The sheer beauty of what is considered by
some the most dramatic place in the world overwhelms you as you are immediately
drawn into its "still alive" mysteries.
You will have a guided tour, so you will be
able to absorb the energy of the enigmatic environment of this Sacred Place.
Lunch (Buffet) is included.
Overnight at Hotel (Aguas Calientes town)
Day Four :
Early in the morning transportation
to Machupicchu to enjoy by your own one more visit to
Machupicchu. Admissions to the site. PM return to Cusco and transfer to your
hotel.
Day Five :
Transfer to the Airport for your
departure flight. Our personnel will
provide assistance for your
airplane tickets and baggage
checkup
